The WCD CPP Project
The primary goal of the World Commission
on Dams Consultative Process in Pakistan (WCD CPP) Project
is to initiate steps to ensure economically viable, socially
equitable and environmentally sustainable development in the
water and energy sectors in Pakistan, with particular emphasis
on large dams.
One of the major outputs of the project is a series
of consultative workshops to deliberate upon the findings of
the WCD report. The objective of the consultative process is
to provide a forum for reviewing the WCD’s strategic priorities,
guidelines and recommendations in the national and local context
and also enabling the participants to provide feedback on the
Dams and Development Report. More...
